okMitch bought a van! With that, we needed car insurance and found it at our local State Farm office, Mark Butler Agency, on Grand Street in Williamsburg. Mark not only hooked us up with an amazing deal (seriously), but commissioned this mural for his office. It is based off a photograph he had taken of the Williamsburg Bridge and BQE’s Grand St. exit.
The oil paint on this piece was super shiny and bright which works in some environments, but needed to be toned down for an office vibe. A heavy, matte dead finish top coat was applied to protect and tie the mural’s colors together.
