Ever since opening five years ago in Boerum Hill the owners of unique gift and antique shop, Sterling Place, had been considering painting a mural on the side of their building. In a high-traffic zone on Atlantic Ave. the large wall is the perfect location for an artistic piece and advertisement for their original location.

Taking real objects sold in the store and incorporating the brand’s tag line “Eclectic Curiosities, Essential Goods”, Mitch created the design. The artwork not only realizes Sterling Place’s brand with its colors and specific imagery but harmonizes with the neighborhood’s history and personality. This block between Bond and Hoyt is filled with specialty home furnishing and vintage upscale clothing stores.
