Greenpoint Veterinary Hospital

Transplant Dr. Brad Seaman inaugurated Greenpoint, Brooklyn’s first Veterinary hospital on Nassau Ave. He contacted okMitch to create an eye catching mural on the front gate, which would add some zest to the neighborhood as well as represent the new business for pet owners.

Normally, Mitch mainly works on conception of sketches with some help from Angel but for this project, roles were reversed. Although she’s created some smaller pieces of artwork for clients before, this was one of the larger pieces in which Angel was able to show some of her folkadelic stuff. Using neon colors and various line art to bring together a couple of Dr. Seaman’s ideas (cityscape and bridge), the piece was painstakingly painted late nights onto the gate. Polish families including their sometimes inebriated (yet friendly) grandfathers, hipsters, young taggers and local business owners were generous with compliments and welcomed the work to their neighborhood.
